After working in The Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village in Rwanda for eight months, I began using African textiles to explore Rwandan life in juxtaposition with my Jewish identity.

By drawing upon traditional Jewish texts to reflect an experience deeply embedded in Rwandan life, I create an interpretation of two distinct worlds illuminated by one another through a common narrative.
